joseph the ant
Posted on January 1, 2009joseph was a small black ant, living on the edges of the colony. joseph would occasionally visit the main colony and he would befriend a few other ants on his way. no one who would maintain his interest but just little carriers who were good conversationalists.
one night joseph came home and saw that his favorite carrying pot had been blown off the edge of the windowsill and smashed by the wind. it was a crime committed by no one but the wind, but still, he was angry. i bet we can all see what joseph did, absolutely nothing.

I don’t get it– is the repeat paragraph demonstrating that the ant is right back to where he was again, doomed to repeat his activities in a pre-wired, deterministic way? Are you saying that people are like ants, forced to repeat mistakes, oblivious to learning?

Dennis. I’m not saying that humans are forced to repeat mistakes and oblivious to learning but more demonstrating how in many situations this is the case for many causes. And also detailing that “joseph”, someone I know in real life is one of those people — never learning, even if he is regretful.
Thanks for the comment and for keeping up on my occasional off-the-wall blogs.
